Stompy Time

Do you live with a small person aged 0-18 months? Read on…

A group for grown ups who live with small children…where the focus is on the grown ups.

In April & May 2024, alongside Manningtree Arts, we trialed a new group specifically for care givers of young children, where the focus is on YOU.

We ran 4 sessions which were facilitated to promote honest and open discussion in a safe space, and designed to enable new friendships, sharing of experiences and to build a sense of community. The focus being on what you need as a parent or care giver, whether that is a good chat about naps, food, sleep, childcare etc etc…or just a welcoming warm space to share with others. Sessions were adapted to the participants needs and interests, with children welcome.

Feedback included:

“For me it was a form of group therapy, sharing challenges, working through things on our mind, and often finding comfort in the fact the challenges etc are often shared. The exercises prompted reflections and discussions I wouldn’t otherwise have had. I’ve found it inspiring – reflections on motherhood, both through discussions and the poetry.”

“It was so wonderful to be able to discuss various topics that we encounter as Mums. It’s a wild ride and I feel it’s so important to discuss the highs and lows honestly. The sessions allowed space to do that in a non judgemental way and Sian facilitated this perfectly.”

We are hoping to launch regular sessions soon, keep an eye on our instagram page or get in touch to sign up for our mailing list.
